BEU has created 15 new specialties that are in great demand in the current labor market
In the last two years, Baku Engineering University (BEU) created 15 new specialties that were in high demand in the current labor market. Some of them coincide with the 2020/2021 academic year.

In total, 1210 planned places in 29 specialties were allocated at the bachelor's degree of BEU this year. 640 of them were for the Azerbaijani section, 15 for the Russian section and 555 for the English section. BEU's admission plan for the master's degree completed more than 95%.
It should be noted that BEU is a leading higher education institution that conducts fundamental and applied research at all levels of higher education, training personnel in engineering, economics and management, architecture and construction, pedagogy fields. The University has access to modern classrooms, state-of-the-art laboratories, a library with a fund of educational and scientific literature, and rooms equipped with computers connected to the Internet. The university signed another innovation this year. According to the agreement reached between BEU and Inha University of South Korea, a dual degree program in Civil Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering and Electronics Engineering will be launched for the first time this academic year. Applicants who score 400 or more points in the exam organized by the State Examination Center (SEC) will be able to participate in the program. Applicants who successfully pass the competition (English, mathematics and physics) organized jointly by BEU and Inha University will be able to study at the expense of the state in one of the 4 specialties. Under the dual degree program, students will study for 3 academic years at BEU and 1 academic year at Inha University in South Korea. After preparing and defending the thesis in English, students will receive two diplomas. The current program is fully funded by the state. In addition, bachelor's degree students will have the opportunity to pursue master's and doctoral studies on scholarships in South Korea.
Moreover, the project to establish a Khirdalan branch of the King Sejong Institute under BEU was recently approved by the King Sejong Institute Foundation. In accordance with the purpose of the project, Korean language courses will be organized at BEU from September this year.
Students studying at BEU are constantly working to find work in the labor market, as well as to develop the relationship between production and personnel in the labor market. The Department of on work with enterprises and career has a partnership with private and public institutions to identify internships for university students, provide employment for graduates, as well as internships and employment of students in public and private institutions.
