CRENG laboratory equipped with new equipment at BEU

Baku Engineering University (BEU) participates in the Erasmus + KA2 project "Crisis and Risks Engineering for Transport Services"  https://creng.eu funded by the European Union in partnership with the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and coordinated by the Warsaw University.

Within the framework of the project, a CRENG laboratory, as well as rooms and office equipment for the service office were installed in BEU Technopark under the Faculty of Engineering. In addition to office programs, Matlab and Anylogic programs were written for computers to teach transport modeling to graduate students.

At present, the laboratory created for masters majoring in "Crisis and Risk Management for Transport Services" is modeling traffic flow on the roads of our country using the Anylogic software for modeling and simulation of logistics processes. Anylogic software also allows you to model all the processes described on the basis of mass service theory. The laboratory is equipped with appropriate software for solving big data and data analytics problems.

This year, BEU received technical assistance and new equipment with the financial support of the European Union within CRENG project. Among them are personal computers, laptops, projectors and other necessary equipment with the most modern features.

The international project, which has been implemented from November 15, 2018, is to open a new specialization "Crisis and Risks Engineering for Transport Services" at the master's level at partner universities. Intensive trainings were held in Poland, Germany and France within the project. Moreover, 10 bases and 3 elective subjects were proposed for the new program " Crisis and Risk Management for Transport Services", on the basis of which the specialization " Crisis and Risks Management for Transport Services" was established on the specialty "Crisis and Risks Engineering for Transport Services" by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Along with BEU, the project was joined by the Technical University of Berlin (Germany), Polytechnic University of Hauts-de-France (France), higher education institutions and ministries of education of Ukraine and Turkmenistan, as well as the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan and several higher education institutions.
