Cooperation discussions held between BEU and most prestigious university in China

A meeting has been held with a delegation from Baku Engineering University (BEU) at Tsinghua University, People's Republic of China.

The meeting, which took place at the Department of Electronic Engineering of the university, was attended by the heads of the university, as well as the Director of the Institute of Communication Research, Professor Sheng Zhou, and the Executive Director of the Sustainable Innovation Initiative, Dr. Yi Jiang, and discussed the establishment of academic and research cooperation between the two higher education institutions.

As part of the meeting, the BEU delegation visited the History Museum of the aforementioned department, which showcases the rich heritage of Tsinghua University in the field of electronic engineering, and was informed about the Connected Autonomous Driving Demonstration Platform.

The meeting also provided necessary information about Tsinghua University. It was noted that Tsinghua University, located in the capital Beijing and one of the most prestigious higher education institutions in the country, specializes mainly in engineering, computer science, technology, business, politics, international relations and fundamental sciences. It has academic and research collaborations with many universities around the world, including universities in the United States, Europe and Asia. It is always ranked in the top 20 in the QS World University Rankings and Times Higher Education rankings.

Of note, former President of the People's Republic of China Hu Jintao, as well as current President Xi Jinping and a number of other influential statesmen of this country are graduates of Tsinghua University.

The meeting continued with a video presentation about BEU, followed by a speech by Vice-Rector for International Relations Atrabe Gul, who provided detailed information about the university's academic opportunities and international relations. The information emphasized BEU's achievements in the fields of information technology, computer science and engineering, as well as its commitment to promoting innovation through global partnerships, and its successes in world rankings.

Later, an open discussion session was held to explore future collaboration opportunities. Dr. Yi Jiang, a global expert in green smart technologies and the main coordinator for international partnerships at Tsinghua University, highlighted the importance of this collaboration.

The collaboration aims to promote technological development through innovative education and international partnerships, in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4 (Quality Education) and 17 (Global Partnership).
