The management team of “Sara Logistics” LLC has visited Baku Engineering University (BEU).

Meeting with the guests, BEU Rector Yagub Piriyev spoke about the importance of university-industry cooperation, drawing attention to the fact that effective relations make education and research more application-oriented, and allow for the rapid integration of scientific and technical knowledge into industrial sectors. As a result, he added that this cooperation is also an important tool in providing students with jobs, as well as positively affecting their acquisition of practical experience and important skills for building a career. The rector also spoke about the increasing importance of logistics specialties in the rapidly expanding international trade, technological development and globalization of the economy, especially in terms of the geographical location of Azerbaijan, and the training of highly qualified personnel in this field at BEU. Morever, emphasizing the existing material and technical base of the university, modern laboratories and the capabilities of the Technopark, the rector pointed out the main directions of the established relations that could be useful.

Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Sara Logistics” LLC Ulvi Ojagli expressed their interest in closer cooperation with BEU, one of the leading higher education institutions of our country and training highly qualified personnel. Furthermore, he provided extensive information about the activities of the LLC, which was established to provide quality services for cargo transportation by all means of transport, its international relations, as well as partner companies. He noted that the LLC operates as a freight operator of “Azerbaijan Railways” CJSC, provides reliable transportation, storage and cargo transportation services. The company, which also has branches abroad, has successfully proven itself as a reliable and responsible partner in the field of international transport.

The meeting included a detailed exchange of views on the cooperation agreement to be signed between BEU and “Sara Logistics” LLC, as well as the internship of university students at the LLC, the organization of separate meetings with them, and etc.
