A meeting with the delegation of Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) of the Republic of Poland has been held at Baku Engineering University (BEU). The possibilities of cooperation between higher education institutions were considered at the meeting attended by Azar Abizada, advisor to the Minister of Science and Education.

Yagub Piriyev, rector of BEU, informed the guests about the university's faculties, directions of activity, material and technical base, scientific-research opportunities, and a wide range of laboratories that allow the application of theory in practice. Noting that the training of engineering staff is carried out at all levels of higher education at the university, the rector reminded that BEU and WUT are partners within the Erasmus+ project of the European Union. Talking about the current opportunities of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction of BEU, Yagub Piriyev highly valued the interest shown in the establishment and development of relations between higher education institutions. Moreover, he emphasized that there is a high potential to continue the cooperation that started in the field of construction and architecture at the initial stage in other fields and these relations can contribute to the future activities of both sides.

Later, Professor Artur Zbiciak made extensive presentations about WUT. In the initial presentation, directions such as the history of the higher education institution, faculty, specialty and student statistics, scientific publications, research opportunities, and international cooperation were touched upon. Speaking about the academic quality of the programs offered by the university, bachelor's and master's education in English, the professor also brought into consideration the necessary information about the activities of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, where he works as the deputy dean for scientific affairs, and the areas of cooperation within the faculty.

Professor Nabi Ibadov, head of the Department of Construction and Technical Design of the mentioned faculty of WUT, shared his views on the possibilities of further expansion of cooperation between universities.

Afterwards, the delegation got to know the BEU campus, Faculty of Architecture and Construction, Technopark, laboratories. Visitors were given detailed information about experiences, student-oriented research, collaborations with industry and etc.
