Baku Engineering University (BEU) and Azerbaijan Scientific-Research Power Institute, which is part of the structure of "Azerenergy" OJSC, will cooperate in a number of directions. This cooperation, which serves to improve the quality of teaching, will be implemented within the framework of the project "Creation of new content and organization of teaching in "Electricity and Electronics" groups at the undergraduate level", implemented with the support of the Ministry of Education at BEU.

Thus, laboratory equipment and devices produced by the German company "LD Didactic" were purchased for the creation of the material and technical base of project subjects entering a new stage. In the next stage, writing of laboratory works in the teaching of subjects, making the equipment and devices ready for operation will be carried out.

Programs for 15 subjects included in the curriculum of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department have already been prepared by the professor-teacher staff of the Department of Automation, Telecommunications and Energy Department of BEU. The main goal of the programs is to reflect the demands of the labor market for specialist training and the opinions and suggestions of experts working in the field of energy. Hence, it was decided to discuss the programs at Azerbaijan Scientific-Research Power Institute, which is part of the structure of "Azerenergy" OJSC, and the academic and support staff of the abovementioned department of BEU.

Later, a meeting was held with the administrative team of the institute and extensive discussions were carried out about the content of the subject programs. Associate Professor, candidate of technical sciences Aytek Babayeva, acting director of the institute, and associate professor, candidate of technical sciences Valeh Nasibov, head of Prospecting Institute of Energetics, informed the guests about the main directions of the institution's activities.

BEU Vice-Rector for International Relations, associate professor of the department Manafeddin Namazov and head of the department professor Ramiz Khumbatov emphasized the importance of reflecting modern trends in the field of energy in the subject programs and joint activity in training specialists.

The proposals made by the head of the InstituteTeaching Center, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, associate professor Hikmat Aliyev and the deputy director of the center Mahir Kheyirkhabarov to make changes and additions to the programs of the subjects were positively evaluated.

At the meeting, it was agreed to organize the meetings with the administrative team and leading specialists of the institute, as well as the excursions to laboratories and educational centers, in order to arouse interest in the chosen field among students. Teaching of subjects in the mentioned department of BEU, involvement of institute employees in the management of graduate theses and master's theses, holding classes on a number of topics included in the programs in the educational center of the institute were among the issues.
