Baku Engineering University (BEU) and the State Agency on Renewable Energy Sources under the Ministry of Energy have concluded a cooperation agreement. Professor Havar Mammadov, the rector of BEU, and Javid Abdullayev, the Agency's director, have signed an agreement outlining their joint dedication to working together to train specialists in the fields of energy, electronics, and automation at the University.
The growth of the use of renewable energy sources, as emphasized by Rector Havar Mammadov, is one of the primary objectives of the reform process that President Ilham Aliyev is continuing. He also touched on the extensive work done in this regard over the past several years.
Drawing attention to the establishment of partnerships and cooperative relations between educational institutions and employers at various levels in order to meet the nation's demand for highly qualified workers capable of responding to dynamic development, as well as the strengthening of relations between the public and private sectors and higher education institutions, Havar Mammadov highlighted the positive effects that the relations forged in this area would have on the development as a whole. Pointing out the fruitful relations formed at BEU in this field, the rector expressed optimism that the cooperation with the State Agency on Renewable Energy Sources will continue successfully.
The director of the Agency, Javid Abdullayev, discussed how the modern era's successful and sustained economic growth is directly related to the deliberate development of human capital and the significant contribution of continuous education. When discussing the significance of forging relations with universities, Javid Abdullayev underlined that the Agency plans to work with various universities as well, and the first such agreement was formed with BEU.
Speaking specifically about the activities of the organization he represents, Javid Abdullayev informed the participants of the meeting in detail about the state policy regarding renewable energy sources and their effective use, various projects carried out using international practices, forthcoming issues, and the personnel policy of the Agency.
During the meeting, suggestions were made on the employment of BEU students in the Agency and areas of mutual interest, and in-depth talks were undertaken for the effective structuring of cooperation.
It should be noted that the agreement aimed at cooperation in the field of training engineering personnel includes many directions of cooperation, such as support for scientific research works, enrichment of the library-information system of BEU, delivery of lectures by the Agency's specialists, creation of career opportunities for the organization of industrial internships, etc.
