The international conference titled "Architectural Heritage of the Turkic World" was held at Khazar University with the co-organization of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TCCA), Selçuk University of Türkiye, and Baku Engineering University (BEU).
The conference, attended by scholars from Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Vietnam, Pakistan, Romania, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Ukraine, Georgia, and Slovakia, discussed topics including aesthetic and philosophical approaches to Turkic architecture, symbols used in architecture, preservation and restoration of monumental structures, and other related subjects.
At the opening of the event, Professor Sabir Orujov, Head of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning at BEU, delivered a presentation on the application of modern technologies in researching the architectural heritage of the Turkic world, restoration methods, as well as interdisciplinary approaches to the preservation of cultural heritage. The presentation emphasized the importance of continuing scientific and practical cooperation between BEU and Selçuk University in the field of preserving and promoting the common architectural heritage of the Turkic world.
Within the framework of the conference, during panel sessions, the teaching and student staff of the Departments of Architecture and Urban Planning, and Design of BEU's Faculty of Architecture and Construction presented their scientific works.
