“III International Scientific Conference of Young Researchers” dedicated to the 96th anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev has started at Baku Engineering University. The participants of the conference visited the grave of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honor, and then they laid a wreath and fresh bunches of flowers at the grave. Later, young researchers visited the grave of prominent ophthalmologist-scientist and Academician Zarifa Aliyeva, and expressed their respect and esteem.
The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played in the opening ceremony of the conference, and then Rector of the University, Professor Havar Mammadov made opening speech. The rector talked about the services of the Great Leader for Azerbaijani state and people. He also noted that the national leader Heydar Aliyev always gave importance to the improvement outlook and education of the youth. Even in the period of Soviet Union, national leader Heydar Aliyev sent the Azerbaijani youth to study at the leading universities of the Union. Today, this policy is successfully continued by the President Ilham Aliyev and our country is successfully represented in all spheres, including in the field of science and education.
Professor of Reyson University of Canada Zaid Saghir, Vice-Rector of Baku State University, professor Aydin Kazimzada, Vice-rector of Azerbaijan Technical University, professor Isa Khalilov and chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Experts of Ganja Branch of ANAS Elnur Hasanov spoke about the services of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev for the development of Azerbaijani science. The speakers expressed their gratitude to the BEU administration for the organization of the conference and wished success to the conference work.
It should be noted that the objective of the conference is to bring young researchers from different universities, academies and research institutes around the world together, to share their academic achievements and experiences with others and to increase their interest in science. At the 3rd International Scientific Conference of Young Researchers, 750 scientific articles were received from dozens of foreign countries, such as Turkey, Italy, Russia, Canada, and 520 of which were published in two volumes, including humanitarian and exact sciences.
The conference continued with its plenary sessions.
