Chinese Doctoral Students Present their Research at Seminar Held at BEU

Chinese doctoral students have presented their research at sessions of the international scientific-practical seminar on "Impact of Engineering Applications on Sustainable Development Goals" organized at Baku Engineering University (BEU).

The seminar is attended by 32 doctoral students from Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT), as well as faculty members. The event is being implemented in accordance with the cooperation agreement signed between BEU and BUCT in April of this year.

Multidisciplinary research topics were presented at the sessions, which were attended by researchers invited from other universities alongside BEU scientists. Participants discussed how innovative engineering and biomedical solutions can support the development of global problems, including clean energy, sustainable production, and healthcare sectors. The contribution of the research to the UN Sustainable Development Goals was particularly emphasized.

During the exchange of ideas, BEU scientists provided recommendations to the doctoral students regarding their future scientific activities. Issues concerning the continuation of a number of doctoral students' scientific research at BEU were also considered.

The discussions held also created a foundation for future international cooperation and joint scientific projects. Significant steps have been taken toward increasing scientific exchange between doctoral students and BEU scientists, and expanding practical application opportunities for research results.

It should be noted that starting this year, BEU and BUCT have begun implementing the first dual degree program at the undergraduate level between Azerbaijani and Chinese universities. The program, based on the 2+2 model, covers specializations in chemical, computer, and mechanical engineering.
