Atraba Gul, chairperson of the Women's Council of Baku Engineering University (BEU), has participated in the international forum on the topic "Women emigrants. Women in the Motherland" in Georgia.
At the event organized by "International Women's Association Georgia", Atraba Gul made a speech. In her report, he touched on the topics of general migration, the factors that led to women's migration, the problems they face, the impact of economic migration on women's lifestyle, the role of women in these processes, and etc.
Atraba Gul informed the participants of the conference about the deportation, genocide and occupation policy of Armenia in the 80s of the last century and its consequences, the fact that more than one million of our compatriots were forced to leave their homeland as a result of the policy of ethnic cleansing and aggression carried out by the occupying state, and the serious problems caused by this situation.
The representative of BEU pointed out with the facts that fundamental measures were regularly implemented by the President Ilham Aliyev in the field of regulation of migration processes, and important projects in this direction were realized in Azerbaijan.
At the conference, reports on the topic were heard, detailed discussions were held and questions were answered on separate topics.
