Chairperson of the Student Youth Organization (SYO) of Baku Engineering University (BEU) Laman Sharifova was once again elected "Chairperson of the Student Youth Organization of the Year" by the Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations' Union (ASYOU). She was awarded the title in 2021 for her active participation in the organization and implementation of socially significant activities in the country, including volunteering activity.

L.Sharifova was awarded during the "I Strategic Planning Forum of Student Youth Organizations" held by ASYOU with the support of the Azerbaijan Youth Foundation and dedicated to February 2 - Youth Day.

It should be noted that the chairperson of BEU SYO was elected "Chairman of the Student Youth Organization of the Year" in 2020.

BEU SYO, which has been operating since February 2016, is the self-governing body of students. The organization aims to protect the rights of students, educate them and effectively arrange the leisure time activities for students.
