Certificates have been presented to graduates of the TOT (Training of Trainers) trainings, which were completed within the framework of the “Academic Entrepreneurship-Based Startup and Incubation Program” (ASSIP) implemented at Baku Engineering University (BEU) with the support of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency.

It was stated at the event that the 35 employees of BEU who were awarded the certificate will not only apply the experience they have gained in their scientific and pedagogical activities, but will also contribute to bringing new startups to the market. Also, graduating from the TOT1 program has given them a new stage in their mentoring activities.

During the speeches, it was emphasized that during the trainings, important directions such as the role of education and research activities in the innovation process, methodological and practical opportunities in the commercialization of science, modern ways of university-industry cooperation, startup approach in research and development processes, intellectual property, incubation services, investment, and corporatization were explained based on global and local examples. Moreover, it was noted that the aim of the ASSIP project, implemented by “BEU Technopark” and “New Idea” LLC, is to prepare teacher-mentors for the innovation ecosystem by developing the entrepreneurial skills of academics, integrating them into the ecosystem, and ensuring the introduction of new startups to the market with their participation.
