According to the relevant decision of the Accreditation Council of the Ministry of Science and Education, the certificate regarding the accreditation of Baku Engineering University (BEU) for a period of 5 years has been presented to the institution of higher education.

The Education Quality Assurance Agency (EQAA) and the administrative staff of BEU participated in the event held for this purpose.

At the event, rector Yagub Piriyev spoke about the positive impact of accreditation on the future activity and strategic development of higher education institutions and its role in quality assurance. The rector highly appreciated the support given by EQAA at all stages during the preparation for institutional accreditation of BEU, especially the trainings organized for employees on various topics, as well as the objective approach of the relevant commission members. Emphasizing that a number of suggestions and recommendations given for the next period as a result of the accreditation process will be treated responsibly, Yagub Piriyev added that efforts will be strengthened in the direction of the superior activity of the higher education institution until the next accreditation process.

In his turn, EQAA Board Chairman Tural Ahmadov touched upon the main points related to the activities of the institution he represented. The chairman drew attention to the accreditation process, which creates a legal guarantee for determining the status of the educational institution and extending its activity for the next five years, as well as the results of the assessment. Talking about the issues of implementation of the recommendations given as a continuation of the completed accreditation process, Tural Ahmadov congratulated the BEU team on the successful completion of the accreditation process.

After the presentation of the certificate of accreditation, ideas were exchanged regarding future activities, as well as international accreditation opportunities.
