Career festival held for students and graduates at BEU

The “CareerFest BEU 2025” career festival has been jointly held organized by Baku Engineering University (BEU) and “HBN Group” and under the sponsorship of “Veysaloglu Group of Companies”.

The festival was attended by state institutions, heads of prestigious companies, students and graduates of the university, as well as other higher education institutions of our country.

In his opening speech, BEU Rector Yagub Piriyev noted that the education, employment, career advancement, and social welfare of young people constitute a priority direction of state policy in our country, and state programs approved by President Ilham Aliyev for this purpose are being successfully implemented. Stating that the main goal of the festival is to further strengthen relations between entrepreneurs and higher education institutions, support youth employment, and create an opportunity for them to learn the current conditions and requirements of the labor market against the backdrop of the new industrial revolution, the rector called the event a great opportunity for young people in this regard. Moreover, he drew attention to the demands placed on young people by the rapid development of science and technology in modern times and the responsibilities of universities in these matters. In his speech, the rector emphasized the successful integration of BEU students and graduates into the labor market, the systematic activities of the university, and the important steps taken by it to ensure their professional development. Expressing his gratitude to the companies represented at the event, Yagub Piriyev expressed his confidence that the festival would create new bridges in the labor market and would be a successful start for the working life of young people.

Then, HBN Group Executive Director Tariyel Dovlatov noted that the festival is open to students and graduates of all higher education institutions, as well as the unemployed, and more than 100 enterprises have presented 965 vacancies and 961 internship programs. Stressing his confidence that the festival would be useful for both companies and job seekers, the executive director provided information about a number of projects implemented by HBN Group to establish university-industry relations.

Deputy Chairman of the Board of the State Employment Agency Nihad Mukhtarli also drew attention to the important role of such events in helping young people start their careers. He mentioned that every year, unemployed people, job seekers, students, and graduates are provided with jobs in accordance with their specialties and areas of interest at various labor fairs. Referring to a number of statistical figures related to the labor market, the agency official added that labor fairs are also organized in our liberated regions and that attention is paid to solving the employment problems of young people returning here

Ziya Rajabov, Director of the Human Resources Department of the Veysaloglu Group of Companies, pointed out that the company is the largest employer in the country's non-oil sector, making a significant contribution to the economy, and that supporting education is one of the directions of the company's corporate social responsibility. The speech also emphasized that the company provides young people not only with job opportunities, but also with a number of programs, mentoring services, trainings, and vocational training in the direction of sustainable development, professionalization, and career building.

Later, Sanana Askerova, Director of Digiboom Marketing Agency, the digital partner of the event, Naila Mirzazada, representative of VIP TENT company, and Imdad Karimli, founder and director of media partner HudHud Media Group LLC, made speeches. They spoke about the role of the career festival, which creates favorable opportunities for establishing direct communication with employers, as well as the importance of expanding cooperation between higher education institutions and industrial enterprises.

Afterwards, a review of the stands displayed at the exhibition was held.

In total, the career festival, attended by nearly 5,000 participants, included interactive activities, games, and fun experiments, as well as musical performances by well-known singers.
