Dimitar Dimitrov, Valery Panevsi, professors of the Bulgarian National Academy of Sciences, Valentin Vasilyev, Ilyan Ileyev, professors of the Bulgarian Naval Academy, and Ramil Akhundov and Elnur Mammadov, Colonels the Azerbaijan National Defense University have visited Baku Engineering University (BEU).

Rector Yagub Piriyev warmly welcomed the guests and expressed his satisfaction with seeing them at the university. During the meeting, the rector provided information about the history of BEU, educational programs, technological specialties, international cooperation areas, and implemented scientific projects.

At the meeting, discussions were also held on the project implemented by the Bulgarian National Academy of Sciences, the Naval Academy, Azerbaijan National Defense University, and BEU employees within the framework of the NATO Science for Peace and Security (SPS) program. The possibilities of future cooperation between BEU and these Bulgarian institutions in the field of education and scientific research were also considered. It was noted that the cooperation will be beneficial in terms of education, research projects, implementation of exchange programs, and the development of research in the field of science and defense.

The Bulgarian representatives shared their positive views on BEU modern educational infrastructure and international relations, and expressed their interest in future cooperation.

At the end, the guests got acquainted with scientific and educational-methodological laboratories of BEU.
