The presentation of books on the history of Karabakh authored by historian, scientist, young researcher Elnur Naciyev, the senior lecturer of the department of Social Sciences of Baku Engineering University (BEU) has been held.
Agasi Malikov, vice-rector for science and innovation issues of the university, spoke in detail about the importance of books rich in historical facts. He noted that such research plays an important role in uncovering the truths about the history and culture of Karabakh, its crown, Shusha. Moreover, the vice-rector emphasized that the activities of BEU employees in this direction, scientific creative works are always taken into consideration by the university administration.
Humeyra Mustafayeva, head of the department of general subjects, drew attention to the necessity of further strengthening the scientific research on Karabakh in accordance with new challenges after the 44-day Patriotic War, which ended with a historic victory, and the importance of the presented works in this regard.
Later, information about the books was presented. It was reported that the book "On the Albanian-Kipchak history of Karabakh" co-authored by historians Elnur Naciyev and Ramin Alizade contained important facts in the direction of studying the facts about the history of the Albanian state, which has existed for more than a thousand years, and cleaning history from Armenian fictions. In the book "Shusha in the US and Great Britain press: based on newspaper materials from 1827-1915" historian scientist Elnur Naciyev presents selected materials published in the US and Great Britain press in 1827-1915, 1905-1906 the genocides committed by the Armenians against the Turkish-Muslim population of Azerbaijan in the 1990s, the Russification policy of Tsarist Russia in Shusha and the steps taken to cover up this measure. The next valuable work presented about Karabakh is "K.A. Nikitin. Essay on the city of Shusha and the district of Shusha" (authors of the translation and comments - Elnur Naciyev, Gunay Naciyeva) contains interesting information about the history, geographical location, nature, population, internal and external trade relations of the city of Shusha. The presented resource is intended for a wide readership interested in the history, geography, demography, economy of the city of Shusha, the center of the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.
Afterwards, the first perfect and extensive atlas called "Azerbaijan on historical maps" published under the scientific editorship of Academician Yagub Mahmudov, with Elnur Naciyev as a member of the editorial board, was presented.
