Rashad Fatiyev, a final year student of Finance Department (English) at Baku Engineering University (BEU), MMA fighter, has won a silver medal at the World Championship organized by the World Cossack Fight Federation (WCFF). 

In the semi-final of the championship in Kharkov, Ukraine, Azerbaijani representative faced Artur Malkinyan, Ukranian representative who is from Armenia.

BEU student, competing in the weight category f 77,1 kg, defeated his opponent in the semi-final and won a silver medal. 

R.Fatiyev could not participate in the final fight due to trauma.

More than 1,000 athletes from 25 countries took part in the tournament.

It should be noted that R.Fatiyev also won a silver medal in the Cossack fight on June 7 in Odessa, Ukraine.
