The basketball team of Baku Engineering University (BEU) has participated in the the Republican Interuniversity Basketball Championship organized by the Azerbaijan Basketball Federation and the Ministry of Education.

4 groups and 6 teams in each group attended the competition. In Group A, Sumgait State University, Ganja State University, Nakhchivan State University, National Aviation Academy, Azerbaijan Technical University, BEU took the first place in the group with the round-robin tournament and qualified for the next playoffs.

BEU team winning Khazar University was included in the list of 8 best teams. In the quarterfinals, the team of BEU lost to its opponent with a minimum score.

Of note, 29 teams, consisting of 24 boys and 5 girls, took part in the Republican Interuniversity Basketball Championship.
