Baku Engineering University (BEU) Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, assoc.prof. Elchin Suleymanov has met with high school students in Shamkir. The event, organized by the Gazakh-Tovuz Regional Education Department, aimed to instill in students the right choice of specialty at the next level of education, form a complete idea in this direction, and train them in this direction.
In the training, E. Suleymanov informed the schoolchildren in detail about the important factors in choosing a specialty, perfecting the right decision-making skills during the selection, the main specialties that would be in demand in the labor market, and the evaluation of specialties according to knowledge and skills.
Emphasizing the importance of the individual qualities and competencies required for the actual specialties to be chosen, the Vice-Rector noted that the foundation of a successful start in a career was laid with the choice of specialty, and in this regard, there was a need to educate schoolchildren by more professional and experienced specialists. Pointing out that the higher education institution, he represented, was continuously active in the mentioned direction, E. Suleymanov added that excursions of high school students of educational institutions to BEU were regularly organized, and within the framework of these events, the students got a more correct and complete impression about the future choice of specialty.
Speaking at the event, Head of the Shamkir District Education Department Gudrat Aliyev and others expressed their opinions on the topic.
At the end, the questions of schoolchildren were answered.
