BEU Vice-Rector makes a speech at the Symposium "Higher Education in Turkey Towards 2023"

A symposium on "Higher Education in Turkey Towards 2023" has been organized by the Education and Science Workers' Union (Turkish-Eğitim-Sen) as part of the Second Congress on Education .

The two-day event was attended by scientists from various universities in Turkey. Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs of Baku Engineering University (BEU) Assoc.prof. Elchin Suleymanov made a report on "The place of the Turkic world universities in the world university rankings and how to build a world-class university." The speech of the vice-rector of BEU was met with interest by the participants. Assoc.prof. E. Suleymanov has been invited to the "II International Congress on Education" by the event organizers as a special lecturer to be held at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey with the participation of government and university chairs of Turkey this year in July.

President of Türk Eğitim-Sen Talib Geylan, Higher Education Council Executive Board Member Prof. Dr. Mehmet Fat, President of the Turkish National Commission for UNESCO. Prof.Dr. Ocal Oguz, Deputy Chairman Cengiz Kocakaplan and experts working in this field participated in the opening of the Symposium "Higher Education in Turkey Towards 2023. In general, lectures of about 30 scientists working in the higher education system and involved in the management of higher education were listened in the sections of "University Management", "The role of the University in society", "Problems of postgraduate higher education", "Ethics in higher education", Reports on "Our place among the world's universities”. 

The problems of higher education and solutions were discussed in detail by experts at the event, as well as the current problems of Turkish higher education were considered. Forecasts have been made for the construction of an ideal university in 2023 and the following years.

  Reports on the symposium will be sent to relevant government agencies and published in a form accessible to readers and researchers.
