BEU Vice-Rector delivers training to schoolchildren on “How to choose right specialty?”

Participating in meetings held with schoolchildren in different cities and regions at the invitation of district education departments, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs of Baku Engineering University (BEU), assoc.prof. Elchin Suleymanov has delivered various trainings to schooldchildren for their choice of specialty and future careers. The next such training was organized in Absheron district.

Teachers and students of he 9th-11th grades of the regional secondary schools attended the events held as part of the project "Supporting the right choice of profession and specialization for young people" under the organization of Youth and Sports department of Absheron district and "Social-Economic Support to Startup Projects" Public Union. E. Suleymanov delivered a wide-ranging report on the topic, answered the students' questions and gave his recommendations. 

Vice-Rector noted usefulness of informative programs about the importance of higher education in secondary educational institutions and the nuances to be paid attention to in choosing a specialty for the motivation of students. He emphasized that BEU always supported activities in the relevant field and implemented many programs and trainings aimed at secondary school students.

Speaking at the events, Gulnar Rahimova, the deputy head of the Absheron district executive power, Asgar Amiraliyev, the head of the district Youth and Sports Department, Tarana Valiyeva, the chairperson of the "Social-Economic Support to Startup Projects" Public Union and others expressed their opinions on the topic.

At the end of the training, in which detailed information was provided about the criteria for the selection of a specialty, the rules of correct coding, the psychological aspects of the process, the main specialties and their future prospects, the questions of interest to the students were clarified.
