Baku Engineering University (BEU) will cooperate with another higher education institution of the People's Republic of China, Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (BUCEA). The initial agreement on establishing relations between the two universities was reached during the visit of the BEU delegation to China.

During the visit, the meeting between BEU Vice-Rector for International Relations Atraba Gul and BUCEA Vice-Rector Chen Zhaohui emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation and developing academic relations. It was stated that this cooperation supports the 4th (quality education) and 17th (shared solutions and cooperation) of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Moreover, discussions were held on the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two universities.

BEU delegation also participated in the closing ceremony of the “2025 International Summer School on Smart Cities” organized by BUCEA. At the event, Yu Shanchuan, Director of the General Office of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MOHURD) of the People's Republic of China, congratulated the students who successfully completed the summer school.
