The results of the "Design" stage of the "CanSat Azerbaijan 2020" student model satellite competition have been announced. According to the results, the teams of Baku Engineering University (BEU) Rodimus and Iron-BEU qualified for the "Realization" stage. Thus, the Rodimus team showed the highest result among the teams with 97.9%.

A total of 15 teams participated in the "Design" stage, and 10 teams representing 6 universities advanced to the next stage. The evaluation of the documents and presentations of the teams was organized on the basis of the Evaluation Criteria of the competition.

It should be noted that the “CanSat Azerbaijan” competition is organized to increase interest in space among students of higher education institutions and to train local staff by forming fundamental knowledge and skills in this field. The tasks set for young people in the competition create conditions for the application and development of theoretical and practical knowledge in engineering areas such as electronics, mechanics, programming.
