BEU students win 1st place in "AIRO 2025"

Students of the dual diploma program (BEU-INHA DDP) between Baku Engineering University and INHA University of Korea have won first place in the “AIRO 2025” (Azerbaijan International Robot Olympiad) robot competition held at ADA University, organized by AzeRobot Education.

Organized with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan, All Japan Robot Sumo Tournament, ADA University, Maestro School, Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company, Innovation and Digital Development Agency, Azerbaijan Association of Cyber ​​Security Organizations, SIMA, IEEE COMSOC and Baku Urbanization Service, 150 participants competed in 7 different categories.

The “TrackX 23” team, which included BEU-INHA DDP students Hakim Musazada (Electronics Engineering major, 2nd year), Shamil Mammadov (Electronics Engineering major, 2nd year), as well as Yelmar Farhadov (mentor, Information Technologies major, 2nd year), competed in the “Line Follower” category and won 1st place.

The goal of the “Line Follower” category competition was to complete the map in the fastest and most optimal way by following a 2 cm wide white line on a black surface on a given map, i.e., by passing 90 degree turns, semi-circles and circular trajectories.
