On May 1, Azerbaijan State Academic Music Theater hosted a gala concert of “Student Spring” Republican festival of student creativity within the Year of Nasimi.

  Assistant to the First Vice President, Head of the Department of Youth Policy and Sports Issues at the Presidential Administration Yusuf Mammadaliyev, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Intigam Babayev, other state and government officials, MPs, Rector of Baku Engineering University, Professor Havar Mammadov and amateur team of the University participated in the event.  

  Students demonstrated musical performances at the gala concert of “Student Spring” Republican festival of student creativity.

   It should be noted that the "Student Spring" republican student creative festival has been annually held by the Ministry of Youth and Sports among students of higher education institutions since 2007. The selection stages of the festival were held on April 2-3. About 800 students from 18 higher education institutions demonstrated their talents and abilities on the various nominations such as music (folk songs, classical music, pop music, pop music, mugham, rock) and dance (national dances (collective, solo), contemporary dance (collective, solo), dance genres of world nations.

  At the Azerbaijan State Russian Drama Theater, BEU students were awarded II place on national dance (solo), contemporary dance (collective) and classical music nominations.

     At the end of the festival, diplomas and memorable gifts were presented to the winners of the festival by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Azerbaijani Student Youth Organizations’ Union.
