Students of the dual degree program (BEU-INHA DDP) implemented between Baku Engineering University and Inha University of the Republic of Korea have participated in the International Youth Eco Camp in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, where eight countries were represented.
The camp attended by second-year students Leyla Allahverdiyeva, Saida Mammadova and Ayan Jafarli was aimed at exchanging ideas on global climate change and presenting proposals and projects in the direction of solving environmental problems.
During the camp, environmental activists from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Hungary, Turkey and Azerbaijan participated in a number of sessions, held discussions on climate change with international experts, as well as reviewed projects to be presented at COP29, which will be held in Baku this November.
Group classes were also organized for the participants at the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage in Samarkand. They also listened to the lectures of leading specialists in the field of ecology of Tashkent Central Asian University of Environmental Studies and Climate Change.
The camp was realized with the support of the relevant state institutions of Uzbekistan, as well as UNICEF, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization.
