Baku Engineering University (BEU) students has taken part in the semi-final stage of the "48th ICPC NERC - Students' International Programming Competition" and the "South Caucasus Open Championship".
The "BEU 3" team, consisting of Sadiq Malikov, a third-year computer science student of BEU, Yelmar Farhadov, a first-year student of information technologies of BEU-INHA DDP, and Nihat Almammadli, a first-year student of information technologies (team leaders - Computer and Information Etibar Seyidzadeh and Rauf Süleymanlı) were represented by the senior lecturer of the Department of Technologies.
In addition to BEU, the events attended by 20 teams from 15 higher educational institutions of Azerbaijan (3 students and team leaders in each team) took place in Kutaisi, Republic of Georgia.
276 teams from higher educational institutions of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Republics of Armenia and the Russian Federation took part in the semi-final team competition for the NERC region.
55 teams participated in the "South Caucasian Open Championship". In the competition, the participants were given the task of compiling the program of 12 algorithmic problems within 5 hours and testing it in an automatic evaluation system. In the individual competition of the "South Caucasus Open Championship" organized among 90 people, the participants were given the task of compiling the program of 10 algorithmic problems within 4 hours and testing it in the automatic evaluation system.
At the awarding ceremony, BEU's "BEU 3" team was awarded the "Certificate of Distinction" in the semi-final stage of the 48th ICPC competition and in the team competitions of the "South Caucasus Open Championship".
Sadig Malikov was awarded the III degree diploma, Yelmar Farhadov was awarded the "High Achievement" certificate, and Nihat Almammadli was awarded the "Distinction certificate" in the individual competition at the "South Caucasian Open Championship"
