Mehraj Aliyev, a student of the Baku Engineering University (BEU), has attended a week-long internship at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).

     M.Aliyev, who was one of the five members of the School of Political Psychology, and took part in the internship as part of the PACE autumn session, said that internship in a prestigious organization such as PACE was very important for his future career. Noting that he attended the main meetings of the PACE as a listener, M. Aliyev said that they got acquainted with the work of this body, as well as the European Court of Human Rights.

    Expressing gratitude to the organizers for the high level of experience, BEU student said he would try to contribute to the development of our society by successfully using the knowledge and experience gained in future activities.

   During the visit, the young people attended the meetings of PACE committees on various topics, visited the European Court of Human Rights, listened to the speeches of heads of state and government during the autumn session. At the same time, the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE, Permanent Representation of Azerbaijan to the Council of Europe, as well as the National Commission for UNESCO, organized an event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of granting voting rights to Azerbaijani women.

   It should be noted that the "School of Political Psychology" was formed on the initiative of the Center for Political Psychology and with the support of the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Center for Political Psychology, which has been operating in Baku since 2016, organizes trainings, psychological consultations, lectures and seminars on relevant topics for young people. The main principle of the center is to instill in young people the principle of openness to innovation and to create appropriate conditions for them to demonstrate their capabilities. The director of the organization is the head of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE Samad Seyidov.

   MP S.Seyidov said BEU student participated in the PACE autumn session at a high level and gained an unforgettable experience. He highly appreciated the active participation of BEU in the development of youth in our country and the integration of youth into the world community.
