A delegation led by Baku Engineering University (BEU) Vice-Rector for International Relations Atrabe Gul has visited Beijing to hold discussions with universities and companies of the People's Republic of China and to establish cooperation relations.
Within the framework of the visit, important agreements were reached with well-known universities and enterprises of China.
A wide exchange of views was held at the meeting with the management and employees of Beijing University of Chemical Technology on establishing relations between the two universities. As a result of fruitful discussions with the university, which is ranked among the top universities in China and the world in the field of "Chemical Engineering", a memorandum of understanding was signed between the universities and an agreement was reached on the implementation of a dual diploma program in the form of 2+2.
During the visit, the BEU delegation also visited Beijing Polytechnic, Beijing Jiaotong University and Beijing Information Science and Technology University. A comprehensive presentation on smart security systems, smart civil engineering and mechanical laboratories was heard at the college, and extensive discussions were held on the development of IT, computer science, computer engineering, including the curriculum of the “Information Security” specialty at the mentioned universities. A preliminary agreement was reached on sending a student (sub-bachelor) from Beijing Polytechnic to BEU. A preliminary agreement was also reached on cooperation with Beijing Information Science and Technology University on a dual degree program.
Another important meeting was held with BEIFANG Automotive Education Group as part of the visit. During the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed with BEIFANG Automotive Education Group, which cooperates with well-known companies and educational institutions around the world, provides face-to-face and online master classes and training for machine manufacturers, as well as students studying in engineering specialties. During the meeting, the possibility of the Automotive Education Group establishing a center (lab/hub) at BEU was separately discussed, and in the end, a unanimous opinion was reached regarding both the establishment of the center and the provision of training to teachers.
Later, the university employees visited BAlC, one of the leading enterprises in the Chinese automotive industry, and got acquainted with the working principle and production process of the plant. During the talks with the representatives of the industrial organization, it was clarified that BEU teachers could participate in training programs and students could participate in internship programs.
During the visit, an agreement was also reached on the visit of representatives of the Chinese company XIMMERS to BEU to strengthen university-industry cooperation.
