The awarding ceremony of “BEU Trade Union Committee Cup" mini football tournament among university staff dedicated to the 96th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev has been held.  

   The organizer of tournament, chairman of BEU Trade Union Committee Hazi Gasimov spoke about services of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev for the development of our people and state. H.Gasimov noted that the purpose of tournament held for the second time to the memory of National Leader was the promotion of massive sport and effective arrangement of leisure time activities for the staff.

     Vice-rector for Educational Affairs Bayram Huseynzada congratulated the participants of the tournament on behalf of the University administration and BEU New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) first area party organization. The Vice-Rector noted the attention of national leader Heydar Aliyev to the development of Azerbaijani youth in the fields of science, education and sports. He added that today this policy is successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev. At BEU, along with a high level of teaching, lecturers and students were encouraged to engage in sports. The arrangement of such sport events creates a good mood for lecturers and staff, which in turn increases their motivation in the work process.

     At the end of the event, members of the teams, the highest scoring player and the lowest scoring goalkeeper, as well as first three teams were awarded by BEU Trade Union Committee.

    It should be noted that in the tournament I place was taken by “İqtisadiyyat”(Economics) team, second place - "Qarabağ"(Karabakh) team and third place - “Mühasiblər”(Accountants) team.
