Due to the current pandemic conditions, The Student Scientific Society (SSC) of Baku Engineering University (BEU) has virtually organized all the trainings planned to be held visually during the quarantine period. BEU SSS conducted a total of more than 25 online trainings during the spring semester.

Taking into account the annual Scientific Conference of Young Researchers at BEU, SSS organized two trainings on "Research Methods" in March. The first training was conducted by the Dean of Engineering Faculty Huseyn Mirzayev, and the other training was conducted by the teacher of the Department of Azerbaijani Language and Literature, Associate Professor Zabita Teymurlu. Along with BEU students, students from other universities also took part in the trainings. Moreover, BEU SSS recorded all the trainings in order to contribute to the development of more students and provided opportunities for students who wanted to benefit from the video, as well as organized live broadcasts from SSS’s Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Sarkhan Rustamov's "3N in Reading" training, which was attended by more than 500 people, provided extensive information about reading. 

The training entitled "Modern methods of learning English" was conducted by CELTA internationally certified teacher of Cambridge University Orkhan Hasanov. The training provided detailed information on effective methods of learning English and raising the level.

Among the organized trainings, it is important to mention Emin Guliyev's training on study abroad and career, Parviz Hasanov's "Future in my dreams", Mahmud Mammadzade's "I'll tell you about you", Elgun Mammadov's "Study in the USA for one semester".

The closed trainings took place through Zoom and Google Meet programs. Trainings such as “Cyber Defense” by Aytaj Gasimova, Lecturer of Computer and Information Technologies Department, “Let the article be published abroad” by Shahriyar Mukhtarov, Head of the Department of World Economy, “Success Formula” by Najaf Allahverdiyev, “How to maintain our motivation during quarantine ” by psychologist Fuad Asadov were held. All trainings were recorded and a video was sent to all students.

The last training of SSS was a two-day training on "Research methods and use of scientific resource bases in the social sciences" by BEU Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, Associate Professor of Finance Department, PhD. in Economics Elchin Suleymanov. Theoretical knowledge on how to write an article, what to look for when preparing a good article, and how to use databases such as Researchgate and Academia.edu. practically delivered to students.

During the quarantine period, BEU SSS continued its cooperation with the Technopark and Innovation Center of the University. Moreover, in cooperation with the Horizon Education Agency (HEA), it developed special offers for students (English, study abroad, internship opportunities abroad and in Azerbaijan).

It should be noted that BEU SSS prepared projects during the pandemic, regularly shared information with students, received their opinions,  and etc.
