Rabil Mehdiyev, a senior lecturer at the Department of Social Sciences of Baku Engineering University (BEU), delivered a speech at a conference dedicated to the 98th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, organized by the Baku International Multiculturalism Center.

At the conference on  “Heydar Aliyev as a founder of Azerbaijan's multiculturalism policy", R. Mehdiyev spoke in detail about the titanic nature of the activities of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the foundation of progressive tendencies in all spheres of life. Emphasizing that Heydar Aliyev was the greatest Azerbaijani of all time, Mr. Mehdiyev stated that the rise of multiculturalism in our country to the level of state policy was of great importance to the political heritage of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

Leaders of various religious communities, public figures and university representatives attended the conference. It was stated that the development of multiculturalism as a state policy was an integral part of the Great Leader's legacy. The historical role of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in grounding Azerbaijan's multiculturalism policy as well as maintaining a tolerant atmosphere in our country was highly appreciated in the reports.
