A patent number US 2020 / 0010964A1 was granted on January 9, 2020 by the US Patent and Trademark Office for the invention of the invention of assoc.prof. Yusif Abdullayev, head of the Department of Chemical Engineering of Baku Engineering University(BEU).

The new invention deals with the electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide. The capture and utilization of carbon dioxide not only solves environmental problems, but also allows the production of petrochemical products in a new way.

  It should be noted that the recent increase in the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is causing a number of problems, including global warming. In order to prevent this, government programs are being implemented in many countries around the world
