The 8th Central Asia International Education Quality Assurance Forum has been held in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
The forum, organized by the Independent Accreditation and Rating Agency (IAAR), brings together scientific and educational figures from different countries of the world every year.
Sevil Imanova, Director of Strategy and Quality Management Center of Baku Engineering University (BEU) represented Baku Engineering University (BEU) at the forum attended by the representatives of the Agency for Quality Assurance in Education, the State Examination Center and a number of universities.
Douglas Blackstock, President of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, Stefan Lowik, President of the European Quality Assurance Registry, Akmaral Alnazarova, Minister of Health of Kazakhstan, Darkhan Ahmad-Zaki, Deputy Minister, as well as heads of a number of state and industrial institutions participated in the opening of the forum.
Issues of increasing the quality of education, strategic development of higher education institutions in the information environment were widely discussed at the forum. Moreover, the importance of universities to offer higher quality education through joint programs and to expand partnership relations was brought to the attention of the forum, which focuses on the internationalization of higher education. During the discussions, the application of artificial intelligence in education was widely touched upon, and interesting speeches were heard about the potential of this technology, its contributions to the educational process in the future, and its practical advantages. In particular, the application of simulation technologies in the field of medical education, steps aimed at strengthening personnel training were widely discussed.
At the end, a specific position was revealed regarding the future steps in the direction of expanding cooperation in the field of education between Central Asian and European countries, improving mechanisms for ensuring the quality of education.
