RED team of Baku Engineering University (BEU) has taken the first place at the TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan festival in the category of Robotics.

The award was presented to BEU team during the participation of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan Aerospace and Technology Festival, held for the first time in Baku. The awarding ceremony was attended by the Presidents, as well as the Nobel Prize Laureate, professor Aziz Sancar.

Of note, 7 BEU student teams ("TexnoMex", "RED", "I.Asimov", "BORU", "Curiosity", "CabEx", "Iradus Eco") reached the final stage of TEKNOFEST, the world's largest aviation, space and technology festival, with their innovative projects. Students' projects and interesting presentations attracted the attention of many visitors and well-known companies

BEU RED team got the opportunity to participate in the TEKNOFEST Istanbul-2022 festival in Türkiye.

TEKNOFEST Festival has been held annually since 2018 with the joint organization of the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye and the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (the T3 Foundation), headed by Selcuk Bayraktar. The first Teknofest outside Türkiye was organized on May 26-29 in Azerbaijan, in the Baku Crystal Hall and the Seaside Boulevard.
