Rector of Baku Engineering University (BEU), Professor Havar Mammadov has observed the winter examination session of the ongoing autumn semester.
After reviewing the exam questions, Havar Mammadov talked to the students, listened to their opinions and wished them success. Expressing his confidence that students' knowledge would be assessed objectively and impartially, the Rector said the exams were organized in accordance with the existing rules of the pandemic.
Havar Mammadov also got acquainted with the activities of the Headquarters and the working group formed to monitor the examination session, immediately investigate the received complaints, code the answer sheets, as well as to check them by teachers.
It was noted that all technical measures had been taken at a high level in order to hold the exam session in a transparent manner and in accordance with existing rules. In order to automatically calculate students' pre-exam scores on subjects through the Electronic Information System, all assessment information had been uploaded in the system before the exams. Exam results are immediately entered into the electronic system by teachers on the day of the exam. Students who are dissatisfied with the results of the exam have the opportunity to apply to the Appeals Commission.
It should be noted that a total of 1,273 exams are planned to be held during the winter session which will last until February 1 at BEU.
