BEU Rector meets with students living in boys' dormitory of university

Rector of Baku Engineering University (BEU) Yagub Piriyev has met with students living in the boys' dormitory of the higher educational institution.

Speaking at the meeting attended by the heads of the relevant structural divisions, the rector talked about the current situation of students' accommodation. Noting that the university has two dormitories for boys and girls for 300 people, Yagub Piriyev emphasized that he was familiar with the conditions in both buildings.

Stating that the conditions in the dormitories are generally satisfactory, the Rector added that a meeting was organized to listen to the current situation from the students living here, and called the students to be active in discussing the current problems.

At the meeting, local and foreign students staying in the dormitory touched on the issues that concern them, expressed their opinions and suggestions. The rector was interested in the opinions of students regarding the level of satisfaction in using the services provided in the dormitory building, as well as their concerns and needs at the meeting held in a friendly environment.

Some issues of concern to the students were investigated on the spot and relevant tasks were given to take appropriate measures to solve them. Some proposals requiring investigation have been registered.

Moreover, Yagub Piriyev instructed the heads of the relevant structures to be more sensitive to the foreign students staying in the dormitories and help solve all their problems.

During the speeches at the meeting, the work to be done for the more efficient arrangement of students' leisure-time activities was also discussed, as well as the strict observance of safety, order, and food safety issues were emphasized.

At the end, the students expressed their gratitude to the university administration for organizing such a meeting.
