Rector of Baku Engineering University (BEU), Professor Havar Mammadov has met with representatives of INHA University.
The meeting was attended by Jung Ho Kim, Dean of Global Education Project Group of Inha University, Seungwoo Han, Deputy Dean, Kang Cheonghoon, Deputy Dean for International Admission, Manafaddin Namazov, BEU Vice-Rector for International Relations, Humay Jafarli, Director General of BEU-INHA Dual Degree Diploma and Hyunjin Yang, INHA Project Director of BEU-INHA DDP, and Sevinj Iskanderova, Senior Specialist of BEU-INHA Dual Degree Program.
Rector Havar Mammadov expressed his pleasure to see the guests at the University. In his speech, the rector reminded that BEU-INHA dual degree program provided training specialists in 4 specialties - Information Technology, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics Engineering within the framework of the “State Program on Increasing the International Competitiveness of the Higher Education System in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019-2023” approved by the relevant decree of President Ilham Aliyev. Emphasizing that the BEU-INHA dual degree program ranked first among the dual programs implemented in the country in terms of the number of students, the Rector noted that admission to this program has been held for the second year. Havar Mammadov spoke about the works done over the years and future issues.
Jung Ho Kim, Dean of the Global Education Project Group, thanked for the warm welcome. In his speech, the dean touched upon the issue of sending BEU teachers to Korea within the program, as well as the participation of students in a three-week summer school in South Korea at the end of the second year. Noting that the number of students in the program increased compared to last year, the dean said that he was satisfied with the progress of the program. He added that monitoring was organized at the end of each semester. Jung Ho Kim also emphasized that the special meetings would be held with Korean professors at the summer school of students.
The sides exchanged views on the participation of students in the summer school and production internship within BEU-INHA dual degree program.
