Baku Engineering University (BEU) has hosted a meeting with the members of the Youth Union of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP).

At the meeting, the Rector of the University, Professor Havar Mammadov provided information about the history, international relations and dual degree program, educational system, as well as the material and technical base of BEU. Noting that the University carried out consistent measures to educate young people in the spirit of patriotism, gain them high moral and spiritual qualities and bring them up as individuals, the Rector pointed out that BEU was one of the country’s leading universities in terms of the number of student clubs and the diversity of student activities.

Emphasizing the importance of youth organizations, Havar Mammadov said that all conditions were created at the University for the active activity and development of youth. The Rector also touched upon various projects implemented by student clubs, including the Student Youth Organization and the Student Trade Union Committee.

Underlining that the rich material and technical base of the University created favorable conditions for students to realize their innovative projects, Havar Mammadov added that BEU RED student team won the first place at the TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan Aerospace and Technology Festival in the category of Robotics.

Later, Havar Mammadov stressed the important role of the New Azerbaijan Party, headed by President Ilham Aliyev, who successfully continued the ideas and political course of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, in the life of our country. Stating that a successful state youth policy was being implemented in Azerbaijan, and most of the NAP members were young people, the Rector stressed that patriotic young generation had rendered unparalleled services to achieve the historic Victory in the 44-Day Patriotic War.

Mentioning that the NAP was expanding its activities with greater goals today, Havar Mammadov spoke about the activities of the ruling party in accordance with the requirements of the new era and added that the innovations in the political organization were positively assessed by society as a whole.

Chairman of the NAP Youth Union Bakhtiyar Islamov noted that BEU students always distinguished by their modern approaches.

Speaking about the successful youth policy of the party, the Chairman of the Union highlighted the work aimed at strengthening ties with the youth studying in higher education institutions, the implementation of various initiatives and projects in social, patriotic, personal development, sports and a number of areas and the joint steps planned to implement them this year. Touching upon the important role of education and innovations in the lives of young people, B.Islamov mentioned that the cooperation to be established in the new format would create favorable conditions for the further development of our youth.

Rector Havar Mammadov highly appreciated the proposals of the Chairman of the Union in this direction.

Afterwards, the meeting discussed the various issues related to the implementation of joint projects and initiatives in detail.
