BEU Rector Havar Mammadov meets with students who succeed in "Skills for the Future" project

"Vooshii" team consisting of students of Baku Engineering University (BEU) has been awarded the 3rd place in the "Skills for the Future" project organized by the "Innovations Center" of the State Agency for Citizen Services and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Rector of the university, professor Havar Mammadov met with teachers and students who successfully participated in the said project.

Of note, yesterday within the framework of the project, an event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held and the winners were awarded. The Chairman of the Agency Ulvi Mehdiyev, the Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev and others spoke at the event, which was attended by representatives of various state institutions, professional mentors, trainers and other guests. Within the framework of the event, Rector Khavar Mammadov was presented with the medal of the Republic of Azerbaijan "For effective cooperation" as the rector of the university supporting the innovation ecosystem.

At the meeting with the members of the BEU team, Havar Mammadov spoke about the importance of the "Skills for the Future" project, the main goal of which is to increase the capacity of personnel in the field of innovation and support innovation activities in education. The Rector added that along with "Vooshii", another team of BEU students, "Tamiz Khazar", presented the startup idea in the project, which aims to support students in the educational process in order to develop their innovative ideas, and to direct them to the field of discovery and invention, which plays an important role in the technological development of our country. Havar Mammadov congratulated the students, as well as Narmin Ismayilova, teacher of the Pedagogical Faculty of the university, who successfully completed the "Mentoring" program of the project, and wished them success in their future activities.

At the meeting, Kaklik Hajiyeva, the idea author of "Vooshii", a startup of the II Tusi Incubation program, and the head of the same team, a student of the Pedagogical Faculty of BEU, majoring in Mathematics and Informatics Education (teaching English), noted that the project was met with great interest. The BEU student gave detailed information about the device, along with other members of the team.

At the end, ideas were exchanged about the students' future projects.
