BEU Rector Havar Mammadov meets with Korean teachers involved in teaching at "Summer School"

Rector of Baku Engineering University (BEU), professor Havar Mammadov has met with 18 professors and teachers of InhaUniversity, who were involved in teaching at the "Summer School" organized for students within the framework of the dual degree program.

Expressing his satisfaction to see the guests at BEU at the meeting, Havar Mammadov emphasized the importance of the "State Program on increasing the international competitiveness of the higher education system in the Republic of Azerbaijan for the years 2019-2023" approved by the relevant Order of President Ilham Aliyev for the future of our country. In accordance with this document, the rector, talking about the dual degree program (DDP) implemented from the 2020/2021 academic year between BEU and Korea's Inha University, reminded that the second "Summer School" was organized according to the program.

Emphasizing that the BEU-INHA DDP, which is implemented in the direction of engineering specialties at the bachelor's level of higher education, is aimed at the training of highly qualified personnel, Havar Mammadov noted the importance of further increasing the quality of the education conducted under the program, strengthening the efforts of the parties in improving education, and in this regard, the exchange of professors and teachers , touched on the benefits of organizing mutual visits. The Rector added that the "Summer School" organized by the Korean delegation at BEU will last for 3 weeks and wished them success in their activities.

Kyungjin Min, the dean of the "Global Education Project" group of Inha University, who headed the delegation, thanked the rector for the warm reception and shared his good impressions about the further development of Baku. Stating that the implementation of the BEU-INHA DDP was mutually satisfactory, Kyungjin Min stated the work carried out on the program and also added that they are fully ready to ensure the participation of 118 students in the next "Summer School" to be organized at the Inha University.

Later, the Rector had a sincere conversation with the teachers who teach various subjects in accordance with the implementation directions of the program, including two Uzbek-born employees of Inha represented in the delegation, and was interested in the subjects they teach, their attitude towards students, and their impressions of our country.

The meeting ended with the presentation of mutual gifts and taking a commemorative photo.
