Baku Engineering University (BEU) will be represented at the 1st International conference on "The role of mathematics and related sciences in sustainable development: a bridge between industry and academia" (ICRMASSD: BIA-2024) to be held in Pakistan on April 26-27.
With the support of Sindh Higher Education Commission (SHEC) and the organization of Karachi Mathematical Society, head of the Department of Mathematics of BEU, Doctor of mathematics Rakib Afandiyev will participate in the conference, which will be held at Hyderabad State College University in Sindh province, as the main speaker. Rakib Afandiyev, who will give a speech "Inverse scattering problem for the indefinite non-self-adjoint differential operator on the axis", will share his experiences in this field.
Within the framework of the conference, the BEU professor will also deliver a lecture at the University of Karachi.
Bringing together researchers, academics, faculty, students and industry experts, the goal of the international conference is to discuss the important role that mathematics and related sciences can play in sustainable development, and to bridge the gap between industry and academia. The international event will cover applied mathematics for sustainable development, artificial intelligence, cryptography, drone technology and environmental monitoring, space sciences, measure theory and other important areas.
