Head of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Sciences of Baku Engineering University (BRU), Professor Rakib Efendiyev has been elected a member of the International Engineering and Technology Institute (IETI) society in Uzbekistan.

The society is one of the main branches of IETI and works towards increasing the influence of the institute in Uzbekistan, Central Asia, as well as Europe, expanding its academic and technological capabilities. In total, seven such societies of IETI operate in different regions of the world. These societies bring together professors, engineers and industry experts from different countries. Nobel, Turing and Fields medal winners are also represented here.

Societies engaged in the promotion of technological innovations support the development of local and international projects and research, as well as bring together world scientists on the platform of seminars, conferences, and other academic events. The main goal is to play an active role in promoting local and international academic exchanges, technological cooperation, and contribute to global technological progress.
