Baku Engineering University (BEU) has once again been ranked among the best universities in the world in the "Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2023" ranking table of Great Britain.

"Times Higher Education Impact Rankings" is considered to be the only global efficiency table in the world regarding the achievement of the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the evaluation of the role of universities in the successful implementation of the obligations under the SDGs. When compiling the table, the activities of higher education institutions are evaluated in all 17 directions of the SDG.

The above-mentioned ranking table, which BEU entered for the third time, includes 1591 universities from 112 countries and regions. The ranking uses carefully calibrated indicators to ensure a comprehensive and balanced comparison across four broad areas: research, administration, advocacy and teaching. In addition, parameters such as reputation survey, staff-to-student ratio, ratio of doctoral and bachelor's degrees, ratio of doctoral degrees to academic staff, and institutional income were used for rating selections.

In addition to BEU, 6 universities of Azerbaijan (Baku State University, Azerbaijan University of Construction and Architecture, Azerbaijan State University of Economics, Azerbaijan Khazar University, Western Caspian University, Nakhchivan State University) were included in the rating table.
