Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Baku Engineering University (BEU) has hosted a seminar on “Global inflation and implemented tight monetary policy”.
Elchin Suleymanov, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs of the university, noted the importance of the traditional organization of such seminars. Drawing attention to the "Charter of the Azerbaijan Science Foundation", which was recently approved by the relevant Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Vice-Rector informed about the to be included in the activities of the newly formed institution. He emphasized the importance of financing the publication of scientific articles in paid journals with an impact factor by the Science Foundation, according to the new rules.
Expressing their views on the seminar, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Mayis Azizov and Head of the Department of Economics Murad Iskandarov pointed out that scientific-methodical seminars on various topics would be organized during the current semester and these events would be useful. Furthermore, they called on the employees to actively participate in such seminars. The speakers also touched on the issue of publishing the scientific articles presented in the seminars in journals with an impact factor, noting that the "Academic study hour" would be held every week at the faculty.
After the speeches, Farid Jabiyev, associate professor of the Department of Economics, delivered a report. The rate of inflation, the factors that created and accelerated it, closures and the transition to a soft monetary policy, the crisis situation in the world economy, and etc. were clarified in the report.
The seminar continued its work with discussions on the topic.
