At Baku Engineering University (BEU), a seminar has been held for students studying transport specialties by "Freight Forwarding Association of Azerbaijan", the official representative of FIATA International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations in Azerbaijan.
Bakhtiyar Namazov, the head of the Department of Logistics and Transport Technologies of BEU, spoke about the growing importance of logistics and transport specialties in the modern era. He said that Azerbaijan, being located on the Great Silk Road, plays the role of the main transport corridor between Europe and Asia and is of great interest to large transport and logistics companies operating in most countries of the world, as well as multinational companies in general. B. Namazov expressed his hope that conducting such seminars will make an important contribution to the development of students as specialists.
Chairman of "Freight Forwarding Association of Azerbaijan" Kamran Habibov first touched on the activity areas of the institution. In his report, he devoted a lot of space to modern development directions and existing problems of transport in our region.
Another speaker, a member of the management board of the mentioned association Elmir Poladov, general director of "U.F.E. Shipping" LLC, provided the necessary information to the students about the company he leads. E. Poladov spoke on topics such as freight forwarder escort, cargo movement report, search for the most optimal and profitable route for cargo transportation, adjustment of routes in case of force majeure, ensuring cargo safety during transportation, and etc.
At the end of the event, students' questions were answered.
