BEU hosts panel discussion on cyber security with the participation of foreign and local companies

A panel discussion on "Techconnect 2024: Discover the future of AI and cyber security with global and local experts" has been organized at Baku Engineering University (BEU). BEU students studying in the field of information technologies participated in the panel discussions held with the participation of Hakan TurkOner, Ozgur Ozcan, Riza Bozkir, representatives of the leading companies in Turkey's field of cyber security, and Natig Mamishov, Emil Aydınsoy, representatives of local companies.

Speaking at the opening speech, the dean of the Faculty of Information and Computer Technologies of BEU Vagif Gasimov emphasized the importance of such a meeting for students who want to have an innovative profession and master the field of IT, and urged them to be active in the panel discussions.

The moderator of the event, the head of Alas Academy Natig Mamishov delivered a short report about the specialization of the institution he leads in fields that create demand, such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, and cyber security, where local and global experience is shared, and the training of students as specialists suitable for the labor market.

In the panel discussions, the reports of representatives of Turkish companies, Hakan TurkOner, Ozgur Ozcan, and Riza Bozkir, were heard on the topics of "Social media and cyber security", "Use of artificial intelligence in cyber security", "Generative artificial intelligence and the rise of models such as DALL-E, ChatGPT". In the reports, it was stated that artificial intelligence will become more and more popular, it will quickly penetrate all areas of our life, and the importance of taking advantage of its opportunities was touched upon in which areas.

Interesting discussions were held around the reports and numerous questions of the students were answered.
