The Operating Group created relating to 3 group matches and the quarter final round of the UEFA Euro-2020 to take place at Baku Olympic Stadium, has held a meeting on the event preparation at Baku Engineering  University.   

     Along with the presentation on the history, interesting facts of the European Championship, the last year successes of the Volunteer Programme were displayed in the meeting attended by more than 200 students.

    Later, detailed information was given on EURO-2020 Baku Volunteer Programme.  

    The manager of the Euro-2020 Volunteer Programme Yusif Valiyev thanked the University management for the meeting. Noting that four matches of the European Championship would be held in Baku, he added that this was a great and historical event. Y.Valiyev also added that a large number of volunteers had already applied for the Volunteer Programme.

    Euro-2020 Volunteer Programme Ambassador Taleh Yuzbeyov also took part in the event.  He pointed out that by joining this program, students would gain extensive experience in various fields.

   It has been noted that AFFA highly appreciates the role of volunteer students in organizing UEFA Europa League final match in Baku in May 2019.Close participation in such events is significant for students’ acquiring necessary experience in sport and non-sport fields, organization of youths’ leisure time efficiently. Moreover, the event participants shared their experiences and memories gained when they were volunteers once upon a time.

   AFFA has created a Volunteer Programme to involve students in matches. Within the program it is planned to be held trainings on organizational activities, educational-entertaining courses, special master-classes and so on for students.
