A meeting has been organized with the first-year masters at Baku Engineering University (BEU).
The event started with commemoration of the dear memory of our martyrs.
BEU Vice-Rector for scientific affairs Elchin Suleymanov congratulated the first-year master's degree students on the new academic year and emphasized the importance of the meeting initiated by the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. Noting the organization and procedure of the general educational process at the university, the Vice-Rector drew attention to the necessary recommendations regarding the scientific activities of the graduate students.
Later, Mayis Azizov, the dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Mahir Bashirov, the head of the Graduate Studies and Doctoral Department, and Farid Jabiyev, the deputy dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, took the floor. It was mentioned in the speeches that meeting aimed to create a friendly atmosphere for communication and interaction at the university for the new graduate studies, introduce them to the educational policy of BEU, regulatory rules, innovations and electronic services implemented to improve the quality of education, including scientific facilities and laboratories. It was also stated that BEU, always attaching importance to the quality of education, continuously strengthens technical and academic support in this direction, and also prefers the use of the latest technologies and electronicization of procedures in the teaching and learning process.
The speakers advised the masters to show an entrepreneurial spirit, as well as not to overlook their rights, duties, responsibilities and obligations within the university, to become an integrated, effective academic and research participant, which is important for their formation as a professional staff. In this regard, graduate students are called to take advantage of all the means, opportunities and ideal environment created at the university, various programs of BEU, as well as to benefit from the potential of professional staff, faculty and researchers.
Of note, the admission of graduate students to BEU for the 2022/2023 academic year is also notable for its high indicators. Among the 230 people, 3 scored more than 90 points. One of those is Ahmet Ahmadov, who scored 98 points according to the results of the admission exams of higher education institutions held by the State Examination Center and placed second in the country. A. Ahmadov, who completed Accounting and Audit, chose Accounting and Audit in Production, taught in English at the master's level.
New specialties were added to the list of specializations for the master's degree at BEU this year. These include Regulation of the Economy (5 admission for 5 plan places), E-Management (4 admission for 5 plan places), Architecture of Buildings and Structures (4 admission for 4 plan places), Design of Architectural Environment (4 admission for 4 plan places). Moreover, BEU also opened English departments for two specializations at the master's degree, Theory of Structures and Steel Structures.
